Absinthe Bio
Wormwood has been used since antiquity as a vermifuge, febrifuge and emmenagogue, which gives it its name in English " wormwood ". It can also remedy digestive disorders by diminishing the feeling of pain. In addition to these properties, with a well determined dosage, it can also be used as diuretic, expectorant, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic, aphrodisiac. Traditional medicines often use it in cases of rheumatism,high blood pressure, but also as a tonic for the liver.
As an herbal tea, take 1 gram of dried leaves or a quarter teaspoon and prepare it in 200ml of water. Bring to a boil and let infuse for 10 minutes. Take a cup half an hour before meals to treat digestive disorders, do not exceed 3 cups in one day.
The powder of wormwood at a rate of 1 to 2 grams makes it possible to be used as tonics.
In infusion, 2 to 4 grams are enough to promote appetite, but also as a febrifuge.
External use:
The decoction at a rate of 10 to 3 to grams for a liter of water allows to serve as lotion for infections, inflammations, wounds or diseases of the skin in the form of cataplasm.
- CAUTION: This plant is not harmless. It is composed of active principles which can become toxic if your consumption is regular or too important.
- The consumption of wormwood, in any form, is strictly disadvised to the pregnant women (abortive properties).
